Celine Crane (President)
Celine Crane was born in Singapore to a British Royal Engineer and a business-oriented mother. Celine started interiors while still in college in Britain's Home Counties, and an appreciation of the difficulties of turning design into reality from her father. Her formal education reinforced her belief that there was a flaw the in construction process, where design is separated from engineering which is further separated from construction. The delays, added costs and inevitable finger-pointing of American construction projects boggled her British mind.
Coming to the US over 20 years ago, Celine and her former husband brought into the world three (now adult) children and in 2005 started our parent company, St Albans Wood Company (formerly known as St Albans Wood Property Developers, Inc.).
The goal: bring the European concept of integrated Design-Build construction efficiencies to residential and commercial construction in Central and Northeast Florida. Celine owns one of the few female-owned, female-operated, minority-owned design-build business in the Southeast. After she separated from her husband, Celine relocated her business to Jacksonville in 2016.
ProStar Home Services was created to provide customers with quality home improvement service with a flair for design. All ProStar painting customers, for example, get a FREE color consultation with a licensed Interior Decorator.
The husband is gone but Celine's love of design and construction remains.
John Parziale (Production Manager)
John fell in love with building things when he got his first erector set at age 5. His first visit to a construction site with his father (a carpenter) at age 8 merely cemented his love of building. After a stint in government and graduate school, John and his partner started a computer services and systems integration firm. After their firm was acquired by GM, John got his law degree.
While happily enjoying his law practice, a death left the family businesses leaderless. The owners, John's parents, asked for help. John assumed leadership of the family's commercial real estate development & management companies, with 14 facilities and operations in six Southern states.
Retirement came, and John and his beloved Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Ceci, moved to Florida ...
which, after a short time, bored him to death.
[Ceci was enjoying John's retirement; she had more beach playtime with John. But, that's another tale.]
By his own reckoning, John is the worst golfer in Florida (possibly in the nation), so he searched for something more satisfying. He and Ceci moved to Jacksonville and returned to where he started:
So far, he's not bored.
